ACT Government recruits Backyard Lifeguards

The ACT Government is trying to recruit all pool owners to become Backyard Lifeguards as part of a pool safety campaign in concert with Royal Life Saving, Kids Alive and Kidsafe ACT.

The website provides information and advice on how to keep kids safe, including providing details on the importance of close supervision of children in and around the pool; knowing CPR, which can save lives and, if performed early, help reduce serious or long-term injuries; and checking that pool barriers meet current safety standards.
