Aquarius Pools wins MPBAA Pool of the Year
The Master Pool Builders Association Australia (MPBAA - formerly SPASAVic) held its annual awards gala night on Friday, December 10 at the MCEC’s Melbourne Room.
Celebrating their 60th anniversary, 42 awards categories were announced as well as industry milestone awards for longevity and excellence in the industry. These included Aloha Pools celebrating 55 years, Falcon Pools celebrating 30 years, Waterco celebrating 40 years and Cooke’s Pools & Spas celebrating 40 years, with director Cliff Cooke inducted as a life member of the association.
The evening was compered by former Australian rules football player and comedian Sam Kekovich, and guests were treated to entertainment by ABBA cover band BABBA and later danced the night away.
CEO Chris Samartzis says that this year more than others we are reminded of the importance of the pool industry in the lives of Australians.
“Our world class master pool and spa builders have once again taken the humble backyard swimming pool and spa to a new level,” he says.
“Not only is the dream of owning your own backyard oasis more affordable than ever, but these creations from our members embrace a level of bespoke construction that adds enormous value and enduring quality to both home and lifestyle”.

2021 Pool of the Year: Aquarius Pools.
2021 Spa of the Year: Beechworth Custom Pools.
2021 Product of the Year: Pentair for their IntelliCenter product.
