Cogeneration seminar at Castle Hill RSL
Simons Green Energy is conducting an educational Seminar on the topic: “Cogeneration as a solution for your energy management program” at Castle Hill RSL on August 9.
The seminar will offer practical tips to help councils, clubs and aquatic centres understand, plan and implement a cogeneration system.
Castle Hill RSL has installed a cogeneration system at their swimming pool.
Cogeneration, also known as combined heat and power, is the production of electricity and heat from a single fuel source. Cogeneration captures heat lost during the production of electricity and converts it into useful thermal energy, usually in the form of steam or hot water.
Through the Community Energy Efficiency Program (CEEP), $200 million of funding is available to local councils and community organisations for energy efficiency upgrades to their facilities. Simons has been instrumental in several councils and clubs becoming successful in their CEEP grant application.
