Elena Gosse to speak at leadership symposium this Friday
As part of the Australian Women’s Leadership Symposium series, Australian Innovative Systems (AIS) CEO, Elena Gosse will speak on Inclusive Leadership in a panel discussion held at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Friday 19th May from 11:10am to 12:40pm.
The Symposium celebrates women’s achievements and fields of endeavour with speakers chosen for vision, resilience and capacity to influence change.
Gosse will be joined by fellow panellists Abbie Wright, Diversity and Inclusion Manager with Aurecon, and Cath Brokenborough, Executive Lead Indigenous Engagement and RAP with Lendlease.
The panellists will explore the topic of inclusion, and the potential that comes from inclusion as well as how to create a more inclusive workplace, incorporating diversity across all areas. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.
Gosse says she is looking forward to participating in the event.
“This is the second time that I have been part of the Symposium and I am always amazed at the calibre of speakers and how much we can all learn from each other,” she says.
“As part of the Inclusive Leadership session I will be sharing my own experiences of being an outsider, particularly when I first arrived in Australia as a Russian immigrant with no English language skills and had to embark on a new career in an unfamiliar industry.
“These experiences led me to champion diversity and inclusiveness in my own company.
“I have seen first-hand the benefits that inclusiveness can bring to an organisation’s workplace culture, innovation and bottom line.”
