Fibreglass pool standard committee members sought

SPASA Australia is seeking expressions of interest to establish a technical committee to review certain aspects of the following fibreglass pool Australian Standards:

• AS 1838-1989 - Swimming pools - Premoulded fibre reinforced plastics Design and Fabrication

• AS/NZS 1839:1994 - Swimming pools - Premoulded fibre reinforced plastics Installation

Technical Committee Functions

A Scope and Terms of Reference for the Technical Committee will be provided in due course, however, the key function of the Technical Committee will be to:

a) act in accordance with the SPASA Australia Industry Representation Policy

b) be a resource and advise on key elements of the standard(s)

c) consult with other industry members

d) provide the Board of SPASA Australia with recommendations through the Chair

Technical Committee Selection Criteria

Interested members wishing to participate on the Technical Committee must have the following attributes:

• thorough understanding of the above Australian Standards

• experience in the practical application of the above Australian Standards

Selected members will be required to adhere to the SPASA Australia Federal Representation Policy attached.
