Hayward’s cool conference
Hayward Australia departed from their usual choice of warm and sunny climes for their annual conference this year, instead opting to embrace the refreshing June weather in Tasmania.
The four day trip was packed with enticing food, wine and cultural experiences, providing an excellent backdrop for the Totally Hayward Dealers to enjoy a good time while also discussing more serious matters during the brief business sessions.
The guests stayed at the luxurious Grand Chancellor Hotel, with stunning views of the Hobart marina, and the trip kicked off with welcome drinks at Hobart Brewing Co, famous for its extensive selection of beers and its cool climate specialty, mulled cider.
Managing director Rob Emmett says the visit to Lark Distillery was one of the trip’s most memorable experiences.
“We enjoyed a fantastic whisky tour and delicious food cooked over an open fire, surrounded by mountains and paddocks,” he says.
Other excursions included a trip to Bonorong Sanctuary to have close encounters with Tasmanian devils and wombats; an optional day at Port Arthur, where participants explored Australia’s convict history; and a recital by shanty singers.
“We received positive feedback from our attendees, and look forward to creating more unforgettable memories with our Totally Hayward Dealers in the future,” says Emmett.
