IRLearning approved by VBA to deliver pool barrier inspection course
IRLearning, SPASA Australia's RTO, has been formally approved by the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) to deliver the course in Swimming Pool and Spa Barrier Inspection (VBAISP2020).
CEO Lindsay McGrath says SPASA Australia has participated in all stages leading up to the pool barrier inspection program being introduced into legislation, and that the IRLearning course provides excellent value and a compelling case for anyone looking to become a barrier inspection professional.

The VBAISP2020 Course covers:
• Undertaking inspections of swimming pool and spa barriers to determine compliance with the applicable barrier standard
• Issuing certificates of pool and spa barrier compliance
• Issuing certificates of pool and spa barrier non-compliance
• Lodging certificates of pool and spa barrier non-compliance with the relevant council
3 STAGE - COURSE DELIVERY
1. Introduction to Barrier Inspections
Learning materials to be completed online prior to attending stage 2.
2. Training Program:
Three (3) days of intensive *online or face to face training and online assessments.
3. Simulated Inspections:
Complete required 15 simulated inspections under the supervision of the accredited inspector.

Eligible Students
Those that hold current Cert III or Cert IV Swimming Pool and Servicing or Cert IV Swimming Pool and Spa building qualifications and wish to become certified barrier inspectors OR those that have never worked in this area and who are starting a new career or adding to their existing skills.
