New boss for Boss Solar as Kremer appointed CEO
The Boss Polymer Technology Group, parent company of Boss Solar, has recently appointed Paul Kremer as their inaugural CEO.
“Collaboration, not compromise, gets the best results,” says Kremer – a philosophy he extends to working with people, customers and suppliers.
“Boss has a long history dating back to the 1950s, manufacturing extruded and moulded rubber parts,” he says.
“In the early 1990s, Boss moved into the solar pool heating market, becoming a leading manufacturer of strip, rigid and ancillary products. Boss have also recently launched several products, including a professional grade, pre-assembled rigid panel, affectionally called Rhino.”
Kremer says that Australian manufacturing has never been more important, as environmental factors put significant pressure on global supply chains.
“This pressure has left many importers of rigid solar systems in a helpless situation,” he says.
“A significant challenge for Boss is meeting the increasing demand for locally produced products, while not placing consumers’ dreams of a summer ‘pool staycation’ in jeopardy. It is important that onshore manufacturers, like Boss, provide the highest quality, Australian-made product for professionals to install.”
Kremer says that the Boss product is diverse and their engineering team is constantly researching and developing, pushing through new innovations to improve product performance.
“One of key focus areas for improvement has been the promotion of our competitive advantage to the market. That is all about to change now.”
Kremer says the company has aggressive growth plans, and when looking for a marketing vehicle to launch new products, establish the brand and drive engagement in the pool and spa industry, he turned to SPLASH!
“To create a successful business, we had to make a courageous decision,” he says. “We see SPLASH! and our association with SPASA as an important strategic initiative.”
