1. PoolTool Sacrificial Anodes

An often overlooked issue in swimming pools is electrolytic and galvanic corrosion which are often easily mistaken for chemical corrosion. Stray currents present in the ground can cause electrical circuits through pool water resulting in electrolytic corrosion. Components that suffer from electrolytic corrosion include heaters, handrails, light bezels, and any other metal fittings in contact with the pool water. A similar issue exists with dissimilar metals in contact with each other in pool water resulting in galvanic corrosion.

Installing a zinc sacrificial anode can eliminate damage to valuable pool equipment because the zinc anode is ‘sacrificed’ instead.

The same principle of protection using sacrificial anodes is used in domestic hot water heaters and marine boating , so it makes sense in swimming pools and spas where valuable systems need to be protected, particularly in salt water pools where conductivity is much higher.

Australian Spa Parts offers a range of USA made PoolTool Zinc sacrificial anodes for pools and spas with 50mm tee, 25 and 50mm spigot fittings as well as clamp on aftermarket models. All are supplied with a length of Australian earth wire for connection to the electrical earthing system.

Sacrificial anodes are a low cost preventative maintenance addition to any pool or spa system and recommended for all salt installations with any type of heater installed or any installations with suspected electrolytic or galvanic corrosion.

Escalade Welded_Heat_Exchanger-1

2. Elecro Escalade Titanium Heat Exchangers

Complimenting our range of UK manufactured Elecro G2 titanium straight tube heat exchangers is a new range of Escalade WHE welded titanium spiral coil heat exchangers, constructed from 100% titanium for maximum longevity and greater range of temperature and pressure applications.

Capable of handling up to 400 degrees C on primary and secondary and up to 30 bar of pressure on primary / 5 bar on secondary, combined with their superior corrosion resistance, they are the perfect solution for the most demanding applications.

Heat exchangers can be used with almost any heat or cooling source isolating pool water from the heater/chiller preventing corrosion related issues and maximizing heat transfer.

Available now in 3 sizes: 30, 40 and 75kw.
