Piscine lights up Lyon

The 2008 Piscine show, as the first Lyon expo to incorporate three shows in a single event, has been hailed a success. Overall, the three shows presented 653 exhibitors, up five percent on the previous Lyon expo, covering more than 32,000 square-metres – an increase of seven percent. International visitors represented 34 percent of the attendees.

Although the European Union was strongly represented on the different shows, many countries showed a marked increase in 2008. Visitors from Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria have increased twofold;the Arabian Gulf was also well represented with an increase of 34 percent in the number of visitors from the region; visitors from eastern Europe were also present in greatly enhanced numbers. Exhibitors came from all parts of Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and Singapore.

 

The Australasian contingent included Solar Magic, Associated Pool Controls, MaaX Spa, Lanark and in the new SPLASH!-organised Australasian Pavilion – Hot Water Heat Pumps, Daisy Pool Covers, QIS/Solarwise, Clevatech and Ionode.
