Rheem acquires an Accent

Rheem, the world’s second largest hot water company, has made a significant move into the Australian aquatic industry with the acquisition of Accent Air Pty Ltd of Sydney.
Rheem is well known for its hot water heaters and already owns Raypak of Melbourne. The acquisition of Accent extends Rheem’s range to include Australia’s highest specification hot water heat pump. Accent has been a major manufacturer for the Australian aquatic industry for more than a decade with installations to more than 100 aquatic centres in Australia and Asia.
Rheem has also established a new dedicated marketing structure headed by Mark Crowther, previously owner of Accent Water. Pool industry identity, Trevor Llewellyn (pictured) becomes State Manager for Rheem Pool Products in Queensland, bringing more than 20 years market experience gained as Queensland manager of Poolstore. Keith Ashworth joins the team as State Manager for Victoria, bringing a wealth of technical knowledge of gas heating.
