SPASA asking for feedback on Victorian domestic building insurance
SPASA has arranged a meeting with the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) following recent negative feedback from members relating to Domestic Building Insurance (DBI).
Feedback received by SPASA to date includes (but is not limited to) the following:
• DBI increases.
• DBI requirements.
• Varying directions provided by VMIA representatives.
• Brokers providing questionable building contractual advice to members to guide them on how to manage DBI insurance within their contracts with the consumer.
SPASA is asking Victorian members to provide feedback on their dealings in obtaining Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) through the VMIA or their broker.
Member feedback should include:
1. DBI provider or broker.
2. List Issues and experience.
3. Impact to your business.
Note: Feedback provided will be de-identified to ensure confidentiality.
