SPASA Australia seeking feedback at SPLASH!
SPASA Australia's first National Sector Group Forum is being held at the SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Show on Thursday July 17, at Jupiters on the Gold Coast.
SPASA Australia is seeking input and has sent out an invitation for all members of the pool and spa industry to attend. The NSG Forum will take place from 8am to 9.30am on the Thursday of the show.
SPASA Australia says that the swimming pool and spa associations have typically been state focused and they are redefining the way in which policy and strategic objectives are set by focusing on sector based issues. Three initial sectors have been identified as:
1. After Market/Retail
2. Pool/Spa Builders
3. Manufacturer/Supplier
The Terms of Reference of the NSG will be:
a) Identification of key and/or critical areas of concern impacting the Sector
b) Sector Policy Development
c) Membership Minimum Competency Standards
d) Training Framework Development Requirements
e) Training Plans
f) Career Path Development & Promotion
g) Collaborative Sector Technical Research & Development
h) Federal Regulatory Issues & Representation
i) Sector Market Research & Promotion
j) Member Benefit Development
k) Networking & Social Opportunities
l) Identification of Funding Opportunities
Each of the sectors will meet throughout the year to identify the key areas of concern and establish a
set of objectives and key deliverables to recommend to SPASA Australia. These recommendations will
form the framework for the strategic direction over the next 12 months.
