SPASA court case resolved

After nearly nine months of legal wrangling, the SPASA legal stoush has been put to bed, with all parties reaching an agreement.

Under the agreement, the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia (SPASA Australia) and the Swimming Pool & Spa Alliance (SPASA) will continue to operate under those names.

SPASA Australia comprises SPASA Queensland, SPASA South Australia, SPASA Victoria and SPASA Western Australia. SPASA NSW operates as the Swimming Pool & Spa Alliance.

The Federal Court proceedings were initiated against SPASA NSW in December 2012 by the four state SPASAs that now form SPASA Australia.
