Swimart’s top store scores big on award front
At Swimart’s annual awards ceremony recently held in Langkawi, Malaysia, family-owned Swimart Jindalee won Best Australasian Franchisee as well as the Australasian Business Champion award.
On top of these accolades, Swimart Jindalee also picked up four SPASA state awards and the 2019 SPASA Australia National Retailer of the Year Award.
“Jindalee owner/operators Ashley and Heidi Weekes have quickly become exceptional assets to the Swimart franchise network these past three years,” says Swimart franchise development manager Alex Johnson.
“The dynamic duo set a stellar example proving that determination and enthusiasm are key ingredients for success.”
Strong growth
Swimart Jindalee has experienced consistent growth, both in its performance in the market as well as its workforce size, which has doubled since the Weekes’ acquired the business in May 2016.
“Our team of retail staff and in-field technicians provide an authentic customer service experience, with tailored pool care solutions, utilising the vast amount of experience our team has gained over many years caring for pools,” says Ashley Weekes. “These awards are a great tribute to everyone’s hard work and deducation.”
“Ensuring our business has the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time, has been critical to our success in providing efficient, expert advice and service to customers,” Heidi Weekes says, adding that staff training and development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are key priorities.
Swimart Jindalee’s in-store retail team is also encouraged to do a “day on the road” with its in-field service technicians to gain more hands-on experience.
“This all translates to a better experience for our customers and enables us to be more agile and adaptable to meet changing business needs,” she says.
