Sydney Water announces pool cover rebate pilot program

Sydney Water has announced the introduction of a Pool Cover Rebate Pilot Program which draws upon the Climate Care Certified program for verification of tested and approved pool covers.

SPASA’s chief policy officer, Spiros Dassakis says the pilot program is an important initiative by Sydney Water that acknowledges you can love your swimming pool and spa as well as the environment at the same time.

“Homeowners currently have many alternatives available to them when considering a swimming pool or spa and their associated equipment,” he says.

“Through the Climate Care Certified program, homeowners are supported and empowered to reduce water and energy consumption by making a positive decision to own an environmentally sustainable swimming pool and/or spa.”

Dassakis commends Sydney Water for continued efforts to preserve water and says SPASA thanks them their recognition of the Climate Care Certified program.

The rebate is for $200 and is available between April 21 and September 30, 2022.
