Tender for the management of five iconic Sydney aquatic and leisure facilities

The City of Sydney invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for management of its five aquatic and leisure facilities under a management contract for 4 + 3 +3 years (maximum 10 years). Tenderers may submit a tender in respect of a single group (group A or B) or both groups (C). The facility groupings are:

Group A – Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, Prince Alfred Park Pool, Victoria Park Pool

Group B – Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook + Phillip Park Aquatic & Fitness Centre

Group C – all facilities

This iconic suite of leisure facilities represent significant assets within the City’s social and leisure infrastructure providing a range of programs and services in aquatics and leisure. They have a total asset value over $120M, an annual turnover around $12M and approximately 1.3M visits a year.

Effective management, use and servicing of our facilities are pivotal to public health, enjoyment, wellbeing. This is achieved through high standard of services delivery, ongoing quality management and maintenance of the assets, sustainable management practices and a commitment to safety. The tenderer will be required to deliver a range of programs and services in line with the specification to meet the requirements of the City, its residents and the surrounding community.

Tenderers are required to demonstrate their capacity, financial and technical capability in the provision of these services, their experience and their commitment to environmentally sound principles.

Sealed submissions endorsed “Tender No. 1107, Management of Aquatic and Leisure Facilities” must be placed in the Tender Box located on Level 2, Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street, Sydney no later than 11:00am on 26/07/11. The Tender Box is accessible between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
