Mid-1970s: The Council of Australian Swimming Pool Associations (CASPA) was formed with two delegates from each state meeting twice a year.
1988: The first version of the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia Ltd formed.
August 26, 2009: Swimming Pool Retail Association of Australia (SPRAA) formed

February 5, 2013: Both sides claim victory in SPASA court battle
March 26, 2013: NSW excluded from renewed SPASA Australia
June 24, 2013: SPASA Australia creates manager position
July 30, 2013: ALT Director elected SPASA Australia President
September 4, 2013: SPASA court case resolved
March 12, 2014: Four state SPASA bodies to incorporate into one entity
June 28, 2014: SPASA Australia seeking feedback at SPLASH!
July 17, 2014: Inaugural SPASA Australia Awards gala held on the Gold Coast
August 21, 2014: Gary Nye named SPASA Australia CEO
October 8, 2014: Peace at last: SPASA Wars appear to be over as Alliance joins the board of SPASA Australia while SPRAA merges into the national organisation.
