Warmer Adelaide pool and spa show best in a decade
The Adelaide Pool Spa & Outdoor Living Expo has been hailed by exhibitors and attendees as the best South Australian show in a decade.
Lindsay McGrath, CEO of SPASA Australia says the show had been facing some major challenges in recent years, but after engaging the services of professional show organiser AEE and rebranding the event, the renewed show delivered on all fronts.
“Our objectives were to increase the exhibitor numbers, enhance the visitor experience at the show, increase consumer attendance and generate more sales for exhibitors,” he says. “I am pleased to say we delivered on all of these objectives.”
He also says that bringing the show into a warmer March slot appeared to have worked well, with more visitors committed to buying.
“We look forward to building on the success of this year’s event and involving more members next year,” he says.
More exhibitors and free seminars
More than 50 companies were represented at the expo including 15 new exhibitors. Visitors saw a much broader range of products this year which greatly improved their experience at the event.
The addition of free seminars and a new floorplan layout also added to the overall atmosphere. Pool builders were kept busy taking bookings for site inspections and follow up quotes and the spa companies reported a high level of sales at the show.
Seminar sessions were well attended with the busiest sessions being the A-Z of Buying a Pool or Spa presented by SPASA and Choosing the Right Pool by Structerre. Other sessions that focused on technology for maintaining pools and energy savings were also well received and reflected the desire from consumers to do their research before they purchase.

Some of the feedback from exhibitors and guests said it was a massive improvement on previous shows and was the best show in the past eight to 10 years.
