Aloha Pools wins Victorian Pool of the Year
The 2018 Remco Victorian Pool of the Year has been won by Aloha Pools, while Supreme Heating has won the 2018 Victorian Product of the Year for their Heatseeker DualSun Solar Electricity + Pool Heating System.
More than 440 industry stakeholders attended the Awards of Excellence Gala night in Melbourne at the MCG, a number that SPASA Victoria says represents the largest ever industry awards gathering.
Hosted by former Winter Olympic gold medallist Steven Bradbury, guests were treated to an entertaining performance from the champion skater turned comedian.
A total of 70 Gold and Highly Commended awards were presented to SPASA Victoria members, while outgoing CEO Brendan Watkins was also inaugurated as the first recipient of the SPASA Victoria Hall of Fame.
Pushing boundaries
Newly elected SPASA Victoria President Cliff Cooke congratulated all winners, saying that the quality of work the members produce never ceases to amaze him.
“They continue to explore ways to push the boundaries of possibility and another record event shows the passion our members have in the pursuit of excellence.
“Being early adopters of new technology, SPASA members sit on the cutting edge – and consumers are the ultimate winners.”
Images of all award entries were prominently displayed on the MCG scoreboards and there was also video footage on the Around-the-Ground LED ribbons.
A full list of award winners can be viewed here and will be presented in the next SPLASH! magazine.
National Awards
The gold winners from all categories will now go on to compete in the SPASA Australia National Awards of Excellence on August 2 on the Gold Coast.
Held as part of the SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Show, the National Awards of Excellence is set to be an amazing evening, with guest MC Laurie Lawrence helping applaud the industry’s best.
