Aussie champion makes world's longest swim

November 18th, 2014

Chloë McCardel, the 29-year-old Australian ultra-marathon swimmer well known to the swimming pool and spa industry has made her way into the record books yet again.

From late on October 20 until the afternoon of October 22 she swam 126 kilometres across Exuma Sound from South Eleuthera Island to Nassau in the Bahamas. It took her a total of 41 hours and 21 minutes. By doing so, she completed the longest non-stop, unassisted solo ocean swim, measured as the straight-line distance of 124.4 kilometres.
