A prestige property with an iconic Sydney pool is going under the hammer. Glenmire, the iconic 1880s Italianate villa has been extensively refurbished, garnering a Heritage Conservation award for architects Boddam Whetham.

Originally completed in 1889, the Glenmire property is one of Mosman’s original homes and is considered to be the second oldest property in the area. Glenmire is one of very few large Italianate residences built prior to the Federation building boom to still survive and be used for residential use.

The refurbishment included a stunning swimming pool overlooking the harbour, creating an opulent addition while remaining architecturally sympathetic.

It last sold for more than $10m.
