Industry member sails in Sydney-Hobart to fight cancer

Watch Steven Humphris participating in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race this year to raise money for the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation.

Boat broker Mike Freebairn, 40, raised funds for the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation to publicise the foundation’s work. Melanoma took the life of his friend, shipbuilder Russ King just a week after being diagnosed.

Freebairn skippered Spirit of Koomooloo, named after his previous boat Koomooloo, which sank in the 2006 race.

Steven Humphris from Focus Products was one of the crew on board the boat.
