IRLearning helps Raging Waters upskill for the summer

October 7th, 2020

As Sydney’s premier waterpark Raging Waters Sydney prepared for the summer, they decided to reach out to SPASA Australia's training body IRLearning to upskill their team and get compliant by undertaking the SISSS00110 Aquatic Technical Operator course.

The Aquatic Technical Operator course forms part of the minimum recommended standards published by the NSW and other local governments and focuses on public swimming pools with multi-purpose aquatic and recreation facilities.

The nationally accredited units of competency within the Aquatic Technical Operator course include:

• SISCAQU005: Develop and implement aquatic facility maintenance procedures

• SISCAQU004: Develop and implement pool water maintenance procedures

• BSBRSK401: Identify risk and apply risk management processes

• SISCAQU001: Test pool water quality

• SISCAQU003: Maintain aquatic facility plant and equipment

“The commercial aquatic sector is a new focus for IRLeaning and we are proud to have been engaged by Raging Water Sydney to assist them with their training needs,” says Spiros Dassakis, COO of SPASA Australia.

IRLearning delivers trade and business qualifications for the following sectors:

• Retail & Business

• Building & Construction

• Aquatic Pool & Spa

• Tailored Workshops

• Group training

Raging Waters Sydney is registered as a CovidSafe Business and officially opened for summer on Saturday 3rd October with some changes to its operation to satisfy requirement.
