Narellan Pools seeking partners from the business world

April 20th, 2017

Narellan Pools has added to its traditional recruitment strategy focussing on pool builders and landscapers, by now also recruiting experienced business people from outside the industry.

As part of this change in approach, they have also introduced the Pool School, where new franchisees can learn everything about the pool industry during an immersion course that runs over a number of days.

To head up Pool School they’ve recruited Amber Mackellar, a former Optus training executive.

Chris Meyer, manager director, Narellan Pools, says it’s no secret that the fibreglass pool industry is booming.

“In age where the consumer industry is focused on fast, more efficient solutions for home improvements, demand for fibreglass pools is increasing at an unprecedented rate,” he says.

“Like any industry, aggressive growth brings the problem of keeping up with demand. At Narellan Pools sales are growing in double-digits annually and we’re on a mission to recruit and develop franchisees to service all remaining markets across Australia.”

He says it is important to boast a franchise network focussed on not only delivering a premium product but also delivering a world class client experience. This is the rationale behind the Pool School – to ensure the entire network has the skills to deliver the best client experiences.

“At Pools School we develop a bespoke learning program catered to the needs of each individual. That way we can ensure that regardless of the background of the individual, we deliver the learning they require to optimise their Narellan Pools business. During an immersion course that runs over a number of weeks, new franchisees (regardless of their industry background) learn everything from the sales process through to installing a pool. Covering everything from access and excavation considerations to scheduling, Pool School is designed to ingrain new recruits with all of the knowledge necessary for success.”

Narellan Pools plans over the next 12 months to focus on filling all remaining territories, and is also committed to expanding this industry knowledge into regional areas within Australia.

“We also expect enrolments into Pool School to be at an all-time high,” he says.
