New draft pool fencing standards to be discussed in upcoming webinar
SPASA is hosting an important webinar in acknowledgement of the new draft Australian Standard AS1926.1, aimed at highlighting the positive aspects and key concerns of the draft standard.
Australian Standard AS1926.1– Swimming pool safety – Safety barriers for swimming pools was released for public comment in October.
SPASA will be seeking industry input and public comment resources will be provided for feedback during the webinar, held on Thursday November 9, at 5pm AEDT.

SPASA COO Spiros Dassakis says that AS1926.1 is critical to the swimming pool and spa industry and the proposed changes to the draft standard include several new requirements that have the potential to impact pool industry businesses.
“It is imperative that members and stakeholders take this opportunity to gain a better understanding of how changes in the draft standard may impact the swimming pool and spa industry,” he says.
